Brenda has been an outdoor and exercise enthusiast her entire live, sharing this with her children and grandchildren. Some of her favorites are gardening, golfing, dancing, yoga and basically all kinds of exercise. As relatives aged, she has developed a desire to be of service to them and her “mature-age” friends. Completing her Active Aging Certification was the next step as she helped launch Steady for Life in Scottsboro. Brenda says, “I love everyone who participates in our SFL classes. I’ve enjoyed seeing our student’s progress and our weekly time together to talk, laugh and lift one another up.

After retiring from a 20-year career with the Alabama Department of Mental Health, staying active and healthy became a priority for Jill. She learned about Steady for Life through the travel program. After visiting balance classes, she knew Steady for Life was a much-needed program for her and others in her community (Scottsboro). She became certified as a Senior Fitness Specialist through The American Sports and Fitness Association. In addition to helping instructors in our Huntsville locations, she looks forward to helping Steady for Life expand into Jackson County and helping her friends and neighbors with their fitness goals.
Britney took her dive into the fitness community in 2011. She is a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, Southeast regional captain for Revelation Wellness, fitness facilitator for her church, and cofounder of Reckless Reclamation. We are so happy to have her join our Steady for Life family as a balance & fitness instructor.

Paula’s love for fitness began when she was 8 years old working out with her mom in the family living room to Jane Fonda albums. As a child and teenager, she was constantly doing something...ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics, racquet ball, softball, track, majorette, cheerleading. That love for fitness carried through to her young adult years when she got her first “real” fitness job as a step aerobics instructor. Since that job over 25 years ago, she has taught pump, hip hop, tae-bo, water aerobics, Zumba and PiYO, to name a few. Currently, she is a certified group exercise instructor, Zumba Instructor, Personal Trainer, PiYO Live Instructor, and a BeachBody Coach.
