Balanced Body I
Key balance exercises are introduced. Emphasis is placed on body awareness, including inner ear and vision; ankle, leg, and hip strength; and coordination and flexibility. This class is appropriate for those using walkers and canes, as well as those with compromised balance due to medical issues.
Balanced Body II
We increase the challenges of better balance by adding motion, obstacle courses, and light weights. Students enjoy movement to music, improving hand/eye coordination, and strengthening and stretching their entire body. This class is ideal for those who are moderately active.
Balanced Body III
Designed for Baby Boomers and those who want to maintain their already good balance, this class emphasizes balance in motion using low impact aerobics that combine coordination with movement. Thera-Bands and light weights are used for strength exercises, and balance balls and balance pads are introduced for stability. Each class ends with flexibility and relaxation exercises.
This class is suitable for beginners and seniors. We emphasize gentle stretching, proper breathing, and relaxation to increase flexibility. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace, honoring their own physical needs.
Rev It Up! Fitness
Raise your heart rate while improving your flexibility, balance and strength. Classes will include circuit training, resistance training with weights, balls and Thera-Bands, and stretching. Open to active participants who are ready to work hard and have fun!
Tai Chi is an exercise that involves slow, controlled, low impact movements that are easy to perform. Tai Chi can help seniors feel steadier on their feet, improve hand eye coordination, and strengthen muscles.
Move to the Music
Come and join us as we do Exercise in Disguise! It’s a party as we move to Latin music, oldies, and pop songs. No pressure – all fun~ just keep dancing like nobody’s watching! We will stretch, get a work out, and make new friends. No experience necessary—just a willingness to enjoy life.
